Investors Visits Rivus' lab - part of Clean Tech Capital Days

1-3It was a great pleasure to host a literal busload of investors at Rivus as part of the Clean Tech Capital Days in Gothenburg!

Instead of another typical pitch-based interaction with investors, we had the chance to show what is actually happening behind the scenes at Rivus - in our wet lab, workshop area, analytical chemistry set-up and battery testing facility.

The timing was particularly good. Earlier that same morning, we started our second stack-test rig, running our upgraded organic electrolyte system as a drop-in replacement in a commercially available, off-the-shelf flow battery stack. This marks the first demonstration in a commercial multi-kW stack with our upgraded system - and the first time we got to show the setup live to a larger investor group.

The questions quickly went deep: why we operate close to pH-neutral, how our chemistry can be used with existing flow battery hardware, what still needs to be validated, and what it will take to bring the technology to scale - from proving lifetime in real-world applications to scaling electrolyte production to GWh volumes.

That was the best part - no pre-rehearsed pitch, no slides, no ‘startup-investor jargon' - just the technology, the core organic chemistry, the battery testing infrastructure, and an open discussion about both the progress being made and the challenges that still lie ahead.

As always, we're grateful for the interest, the tough questions and the willingness to engage with our technology at a deeper level.

Thanks to Cleantech Scandinavia for organizing the visit and the busload of investors for your energy and engagement - welcome back anytime!
