Rivus Strengthens Its Board and Sets the Next Priorities

A financing round creates possibilities. The board’s job is to turn them into clear technical and commercial priorities.
Following our recent equity raise and the addition of two new investors, Rivus is focusing on three connected challenges: advancing our electrolyte chemistry, developing production processes that can scale beyond the lab and prototype stage, and aligning our go-to-market strategy with our technical readiness.
This week, our board held its first working session with its new members. Karin Edström, Founding and Managing Partner at Turbine Capital, has joined as a board member. Jonas Bergqvist, Investment Manager at Almi Invest GreenTech, has joined as a board observer.
The board elected its chair, reviewed our latest progress and aligned on the work ahead. This includes generating robust stack-testing data, translating our chemistry into reliable and efficient larger-volume production, and ensuring that our technical milestones support the route towards pilot projects and commercial applications.
A central challenge is not only how our chemistry performs in the lab and at prototype level, but how reliably and efficiently it can be produced at larger volumes and what must be demonstrated before moving to the next stage. For this, we are working closely with our chemical suppliers and a recently established technical advisory board bringing together chemical industrial scale-up experts and chemistry professors from our partner universities. We also discussed recruitment and facility upgrades which will enable this work by strengthening our in-house development, testing and validation capacity.
Holding the board session at our office and lab kept the discussion grounded in the technology and the practical work ahead.
Welcome to Rivus, Karin and Jonas - great to have you onboard!
