Rivus is truly honored to win the E-Prize award in the Renewable Energy category! Electrification of high-temperature processes, metal-free batteries, and more efficient transport were the focus of this year’s winners. Scalability stood out as a key theme for the jury, who had the tough job of selecting from nine worthy finalists. Organized by Dagens Industri and Aktuell Hållbarhet in collaboration with E.ON, the E-Prize highlights Sweden’s most innovative energy solutions.
The jury’s motivation:
- "For the development of groundbreaking technology that enables environmentally friendly and cost-effective energy storage. With Rivus’ organic batteries, dependence on limited resources can be reduced, supporting the transition to renewable energy. This year's winner is a role model in green technology and energy storage."
The 2024 winners were announced at Dagens Industri’s Sustainable Business conference in Stockholm, opened by a keynote panel featuring former Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven and former Minister of Industry Annie Lööf.
Winners and finalists:
- Renewable Energy: Rivus Batteries (winner), with finalists Meva Energy and Raymond Solar (all three Gothenburg-based!).
- Sustainable Transport: Logivity (winner), PowerCell Group and Greater Than.
- Energy Optimization: Kanthal (winner), Pileus, and Rebaba.
A big congratulations to all the finalists and winners for their dedication and efforts in developing the next generation energy technologies for a greener tomorrow!
